800,000 Wii's Were Sold During Black Friday Week Says Iwata

Speaking to Reuters, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata revealed that the Wii sold 800,000 during the week of Black Friday in the US. This was more than double the amount sold during the same week in 2007 and the most for any piece of hardware in history!!

The game does some things very well. Wanted: Weapons of Fate has pretty graphics, easy to understand controls, and difficulty levels with great titles, ("Pussy" instead of "Beginner" was my favorite). It also extends the storyline of the film instead of just rehashing the movie, which is a plus.

Rock Band hits 500 songs ahead of schedule

Game developers are likely to take full advantage of high-capacity new Blu-ray discs. Pioneer says the development plans are to create these super read-only discs in 2008-2010, rewritable discs in 2010-2012, and 1 TB discs in 2013.
