One showing green, grassy fields, the other three showing dark, dingy dungeons. As someone who never got into Diablo at all, gotta say, it's a shame the whole thing's not outside under a blue sky. Diablo mechanics with a Sega Rally aesthetic would be just the kind of thing to get me onboard.

Spore and more: activate against Electronic Arts

Electronic Arts (EA) and Amazon have been the targets of a justified online rebellion the last couple weeks. The impetus for the backlash is EA's use of Digital Restrictions Management (DRM) technology in its game Spore. As of right now, the game has received 2,226 1-star reviews on Amazon -- more than we've ever seen before.

Old Sega 'Streets of Rage 2' Ad That Would NEVER Air Now

This is a commercial for the Sega Genesis system, complete with Streets of Rage 2 cartridge. The school nerd buys this game because he's sick of getting picked on, and after playing a violent video game he becomes tough enough in real life to bully the bullies. I'd love to see anyone try to sell video games like that now.
